Bocat Gearboxes
There were three gearboxes used over the years on both trailers and manure spreaders. Your unit may have a Dodge 425, Dodge 525 or Federal (now Hub City) Model 3.
The Hub City gearbox is a special gearbox with tapered bearings and a direct mount motor. It’s the most recent used in production.
The Hub City gearbox replaces all the others, however if you had one of the Dodge’s you will need to drill a different mounting pattern on the gearbox plate, and you will need to do away with the chain couplers between the motor and the gearbox. You will also need to change the shaft and possibly the mounting flange on the hydraulic motor. Call for details.
